25 Days of Christmas Day 2

Philippians 2:8 King James Version (KJV)
…..he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

What greater gift can someone give then laying down his own life for another? As I think about how He was obedient unto death, I cannot refute the pure, sincere love He has for each and every one of us. That is love. That is unconditional love. This is a love we don’t deserve but He wants us to know and have.

As the season unfolds with the focus of gift giving, stop for a moment and inhale in the scenery. Take in the fresh, cold air. Take in the beautiful lights and decorations. Listen to the laughter as it echoes through the air. Notice how grace and mercy linger and fall on an unknown passerby. As you continue standing there, close your eyes and listen to the whisper of Holy Spirit as he begins to sing his love song to you and over you.

I pray that in the busyness of life, you hear the whisper of Holy Spirit. I pray that you are the unknown person that someone else sees. I pray that during this season you are the reflection of Christ that someone needs to see.
