Today we were at the Southern Steps, sitting at the very steps where Jesus preached and Peter lead people to salvation. To have over 300 people in one accord in praise and worship was awesome. Pastor Prince preached and I received. He preached grace and that I am healed. My past does not dictate who I am. Jesus loved me so much that He died for me and on the cross, took EVERYTHING. For that very moment, He bore EVERYTHING.
Like when Abraham was going to sacrifice his son, the ram was the sacrifice. His horns were stuck and when he pulled it out, it had a crown of thorns as Jesus did.
In my spirit, God told me, “Look Jennifer, how much more do I need to do to make you understand your free? I brought you to the very steps where I preached. This is how much I love you. You are free from the past, free from sickness, free from lack, free from EVERYTHING. When are you going to receive it? How much more do I need to do?” It was like my eyes were finally open and I received it.
After I read that journal entry, I began to read my bible. The Lord brought me to Jeremiah 31. Tears filled my eyes as I began to read what God was saying to me. Gods grace is sufficient for EVERYTHING. He reminded me of how much He loves me and what he delivered me from.
He took me back to a time when I was so hurt, broken and lost. It was so dark that I couldn’t fell no connection with God. I couldn’t hear or feel him. It was like hell on earth. All there was, was silence. My spirit was shattered and it felt as if I wasn’t even worthy of his forgiveness. Yet, through it all, God still showed me grace. He didn’t care what my perspective of him was. He didn’t care about politics or religion.
He just wanted me and only me. His objective was to redeem me! He reached down into that pit I dug and pulled me out. He set me on high, placing my feet on the rock – HIM. He washed me in his blood and made me white as snow and just loved me. Jeremiah 31 is His love story to me about His never-ending love, grace, and mercy.
Jeremiah 31: 2 This is what the Lord says:
“The people who survive the (sword – devices, tricks of satan)
will find favor in the (wilderness –when you’re lost);
I will come to give rest to (Israel –Jennifer)”
3 The Lord appeared to us in the past,[a] saying:
“I have loved (you –Jennifer) with an everlasting love;
I have drawn you with unfailing (kindness – grace)
4 I will build (you –Jennifer) up (again- redemption)
and (you – Jennifer), Virgin Israel, will be rebuilt.
Again (you- Jennifer) will take up your timbrels
and go out to dance with the joyful. -God restores my praise
That same love story is your love story. What God did for me, he will do for you. Let him speak his love story for you, over you.
